I went for a visit to London!! Last time I was there I visited the arabic themed streets behind Marble Arch. This time though I found the iranian section of Kingstone Road. There are about 5 Iranian stores there and a couple of chelow kabaabis!! I stocked up on Lavashak and tambr'e hendi and all sorts of good stuff. It was like suicide by the lavashak method!! One of the iranian stores had Eteleaat Hafteghi magazines from 1979. As you see I bough some and some javanan ones from 1979. However they were not very exciting as they are from a period where khomeini had already arrived to Iran and these magazines where not showing anything that could remotely annoy the ayatollah. So there are no "jamileh" pictures in them and there are no signs of Mahasti's boobs in them. That store also had some old tapes from the early years after the revolution. Some of these tapes are now collectors items since they were no re'issued on CD. This includes this Fereidoon ( Fereydoun) Farokhzad tape that I bought. It is from 1984 and features poetry from her famous sister Forough farokhzad (Foroogh) and guitar playing by Armik. The b side are some of his 70s recordings.
در لندن بودم و اینبار تونستم به مقازهایه ایرانی‌ که در کینگستون رود هستند بروم و کلی‌ لواشک و تمبره هندی بخرم. جوک می‌کنم مثله خودکشی‌ با لواشک بود. یکی‌ از مغازها مجله سال اولا انقلاب از اطلاعات هفتقی‌ و جوانان داشت ولی‌ زیاد جالب نبودند زیرا که چون ازخانندقان توشون هیچی‌ نیست . یکی‌ از مغازها نوار هایی‌ از اولهای سالهای هزار ا نهسدو هشتاد داشت که کم یاب هستند مثل این نوار از فریدون فرخزاد با اشار از خواهرش فروغ فرخزاد و گویتر از آرمیک
