About donation thru PayPal:
PayPal is the safest way to donate money or purchase something thru the internet. This is because when you use the PayPal system, the person receiving your money never gets to see your credit card or private information. PayPal is like an independant third party. PayPal is a big reputable company who has been around for years and now is part of eBay (the giant online auction house). PayPal is the system most people use to pay for auctions won on eBay. PayPal´s web site is:

Why Donate to my site: Irannostalgia? (http://geocities.com/irannostalgia)
This site does not sell anything and has no publicity (the geocities advertisement you see, is because we use their free servers). Therefore, Irannostalgia has NO income. People who are not webmasters, or webmasters of the type of site like Irannostalgia, don´t understand how many daily hours of work goes into it. People occasionally think that its like drawing (taraahi), forgetting that after all this is computer programming. Every update (1 item) takes about three hours of non-payed work. Not only the items must be scanned, the audio file must be created, the HTML page needs to be created, but also, space needs to be created on the server. Space also needs to be created on the front page by moving old material elswhere. This takes a lot of time. Then, having to mark the pictures, to protect the site and creating thumbnails (the small version of the pictures). And after that one has to upload and do the absolutely necessary Q/A work to make sure its all working. Aditionally, in order to have content for the page, one has to be constantly purchasing expensive CD´s and magazines, or material that can be usable on the website. For example I recently purchased a $50 CD compilation out of my pocket, which after all turned out to be of no use. The offcourse promoting the website by writing and posting letters takes its hours too.
Thru the years, I have rescued record jackets and audios that, kid you not, not even the artists themselfs have a copy of. I´m not expecting poor people to donate, but there are many iranians that have more money than they need. Some of them, too few, donate, but as usual they donate to "american institutions". Recently an iranian guy donated $20 million dollars to U.C. Irvine. Well, I graduated from U.C. Irvine. I´m sorry this guy threw his money there. Why not donate a little bit, to those of us who LIVE IN POVERTY and ARE doing soooo much to save our REAL iranian heritage and culture??
