My friend and musical expert (really: he has even written published books on the subject) Gokhan Aya from Turkey, send me this note: This is Kamuran Akkor and she is
singing "Reyhan"; same tune with Yaghmaee. It's
Azerbaidjan folklore, you know.
Kamuran Akkor was a relatively known name in mid to
late 60s but when she recorded this song and released
it in early 1969, it was a huge hit over here.
